Card Tutorial - Using layering stamps with stencils
Today I wanted to share with you a simple card using layering stamps with coordinating stencils, which make this technique so fun and easy!
I have used the stunning 'Book Engravings' stamp, die and stencil bundle from Altenew as well as the Angled Mosaic Embossing Folder.
I started by stamping the flower and leaf images onto white cardstock using Black Ink then for the leaves I used the coordinating stencil to ink up the solid layer using green ink. The second layer was stamped using the layering stamp in a slightly darker shade of green ink.
The flowers were first inked with the stencil in blue ink. The second layer was stamped in a darker blue ink and the final layer was stamped in the darkest shade.
To finish them off I added some detail using a white gel pen.
I then die cut all of my pieces before embossing a panel of white cardstock using the Angled Mosaic embossing folder. I used double sided foam tape to attach that to a black top folding A2 card base and used more double sided tape foam to arrange the flowers and leaves for even more dimension.
I stamped the Love And Hugs sentiment from the sketchy florals stamp set in Versamark ink onto black card and embossed with White embossing powder. I attached it to the card with double sided foam tape before adding some black enamel dots to complete the panel.
I hope you enjoyed my project today and I look forward to sharing more with you soon! - Jodene
